Professor A C Grayling

March 1 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

“Fighting For Europe”

Those of us who wish to see the United Kingdom remain part of the European Union need to target our efforts carefully. So, what exactly should we be doing, and when?

A C Grayling weighed into the fray over the EU referendum when he wrote an open letter to all 650 members of the House of Commons, a week after the result was announced, urging them not to invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty.

He has since had an exchange of letters with the Minister of State for Exiting the European Union in which he refutes the argument that (as we are endlessly told) “the country has decided” that Britain must leave the EU. He himself intends to go on “fighting for Europe”.

Professor Grayling is the Master of the New College of the Humanities in London, where he is also professor of philosophy. He is the author of over 30 books of philosophy, biography, history of ideas and essays, and writes a regular column for the magazine Prospect.

Tickets are free of charge, but we do ask that you reserve your seats via EventBrite.
