BREXIT – WHAT NOW? with Anna Soubry MP
September 26, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Without a doubt Anna Soubry has become one of the leading figures in British politics opposing Brexit. Against all the odds and at great personal cost she has been bravely speaking out against the dishonesty and lies of those trying to impose Brexit on this country despite the huge cost it will mean to the UK’s traditional values, our economy, security and our standing in the world. In her presentation she will give her latest frank, personal analysis. Expect some fireworks!
ABOUT ANNA SOUBRY MP
Anna Soubry has been the Member of Parliament for Broxtowe in Nottinghamshire since the 2010 general election. Anna was Minister for Small Business from the 2015 general election, also attending meetings of the Cabinet, but chose to return to the backbenches in July 2016. She previously served as Minister of State for Veterans (from 2013 to 2015) and Minister for Public Health (2012 to 2013).
In February 2019 Anna left the Conservative Party to become a founding member of The Independent Group for Change, which she now leads. Before being elected to Parliament, Anna was successful in a number of other careers throughout her life, working as a TV reporter, a criminal barrister and a journalist. The Independent’s Simon Carr has stated that “she has a record of unusually free speech”.
Doors will open at 6.30 pm when light refreshments will be available before the 7.00 pm start. The event will end by 9.00 pm. Anna Soubry’s talk will be followed by the opportunity to ask questions and afterwards, if time allows, there will be an opportunity to chat informally with Anna and other members of the audience.
