BREXIT – WHAT NEXT? Darren Jones MP
February 15 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
In his short time as a Member of Parliament, Darren Jones has earned a justifiably high reputation and is seen by many as having a successful future within the Labour Party. In his talk he will be addressing the chaos of Brexit, his experiences as a new MP in this ‘Brexit Parliament’ and his support for a People’s Vote, following which he will take questions from the audience.
ABOUT DARREN JONES MP
Darren Jones was elected Labour MP for Bristol North-West in 2017. He is a pro-Europe MP and believes that the Government is managing Brexit badly. Darren is a member of the European Scrutiny Committee and supports the campaign for a People’s Vote on the Brexit deal.
He also works on issues related to the digital economy, technology and the environment. He is a Member of the Science & Technology Select Committee and is involved in cross-party parliamentary groups, such as the Parliamentary Information, Communications and Technology Forum, and the All Party Parliamentary Group on Consumer Rights and veganism. He has a particular interest in renewable energy and the technology needed to support it.
Finally, not only does he play the saxophone, but apparently he’s the first MP to have the name Darren!
The formal event will be followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to chat informally with Darren and other members of the audience.
