Brexit Cafe Returns!
October 6 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Bridging the Divide…One Cup at a Time
Following the success of two past events, the community-focused initiative of the “Brexit Café” is being held again. This friendly get-together aims to help build bridges between those on either side of the highly emotive Brexit debate. Everyone will be welcome to drop in for a free tea or coffee and a chat.
The next Brexit Café is to be held at The TownHouse, 16 Church Street, Stratford upon Avon, CV37 6HB on Saturday 6th October 2018 from 11am to 1pm.
There will be the possibility to discuss things in a calm and relaxed environment. Come and share a ‘cuppa’ with us and exchange opinions with those from both sides of the Brexit debate.
At a time when society and those who govern us have never been more divided, the aim of the initiative is to bring people from both sides of the debate together over a cup of tea or coffee in order to encourage them to engage in a constructive dialogue by listening to and reaching an understanding of each other’s point of view.
The organisers, Sophie Clausen & Manuela Perteghella, say “We hope the people of Stratford, as well as people from around the country, will be able to join us in October. The Café aims to provide a relaxed, freindly environment in which mutual understanding and respect can be achieved. So, do pop in for a friendly chat over a free cup of tea or coffee!”
